Part 7: The Final Gambit

Julian’s arrogance turned to raw, animalistic panic. He lunged for the door, but the path was blocked by Alejandro’s security team. He spun around, pulling a small, concealable firearm from his inner jacket pocket, leveling it directly at Elena.

"You won't let her go, will you?" Julian screamed, his composure finally shattering into jagged shards of madness. "If I go down, we all burn!"

Alejandro didn't move. He stood perfectly still, his eyes locked on his brother. "Put it down, Julian. The guards have orders to fire the moment your finger tightens."

"Let me go!" Julian roared. "Give me the private jet, fuel it up, and open the gates! Or I swear to God—"

"You’re not going anywhere," a new voice entered the room. It was the Police Commissioner, stepping out from behind the security line. Behind him, dozens of officers swarmed the conservatory.

Julian’s hand shook. He looked at Alejandro, then at Elena, seeing the iron-clad unity between them—a bond that no amount of money, manipulation, or cruelty could break. He realized then that he had never truly understood the people he sought to destroy. He thought he was playing a game of power, but they were playing a game of life and death.

With a primal scream of frustration, Julian threw the gun to the ground and collapsed to his knees. The handcuffs clicked into place, a sound more final than any gavel.
