Part 10: The Unwritten Chapter

Five years later.

The morning sun spilled across the veranda, illuminating a breakfast table set for three. A small boy, with Alejandro’s dark hair and Elena’s observant, curious eyes, ran across the grass, chasing a golden retriever.

Alejandro watched them, a mug of coffee in his hand, a sense of peace settling into his bones that he never thought he would possess. He felt a hand rest on his shoulder.

"He looks just like you," Elena said, smiling as she kissed his cheek.

"He has your spirit," Alejandro replied, pulling her chair out for her. "That’s what matters."

They had survived the impossible. They had been torn apart, broken, and hunted, but they had rebuilt their world from the ashes. There was no more power, no more fame, and no more billion-dollar empires to manage. There was only the sound of their son laughing in the sun, the scent of the sea, and the knowledge that no matter what life threw at them, they would face it together.

He took her hand, interlacing his fingers with hers. The past was a closed book, and the future was a vast, unwritten landscape. And for the first time in his life, Alejandro Valmont was truly, completely home.
