The company was no longer vulnerable to localized political shifts or currency fluctuations; it operated on its own secure global network, completely independent of traditional banking vulnerabilities.
During a highly publicized virtual hearing before a global trade commission trying to regulate Aureum's satellite network, a prominent commissioner leaned into his microphone, his expression stern.
"Ms. Vale, your company handles more data and logistical traffic than thirty average nations combined. You are effectively operating a sovereign state without a geographic border. Who guards the guards? Who holds you accountable if Aureum decides to shift its priorities away from global stability?"
Victoria’s holographic projection stood in the center of the commission chamber, looking flawless, commanding, and entirely unbothered.
