Part 50: The Eternal Sky

The saga of the House of Vale reaches its permanent, unshakeable horizon on a beautiful, golden evening at the coastal estate.
Three generations of memory seemed to hang in the clean, salt-kissed air. Victoria sat in a comfortable armchair on the white stone terrace, wrapped in a soft cashmere blanket, a cup of warm tea in her hands. Nearby, twenty-two-year-old Elena Junior stood at the edge of the stone balustrade, looking out at the endless expanse of the Atlantic Ocean, where a fleet of Aureum’s clean-energy cargo ships moved silently along the horizon like modern stars.
Beside Elena Junior, her own young assistant was quietly logging the successful completion of a global orbital logistics grid. The empire was larger, safer, and more benevolent than it had ever been.
Elena Junior turned back toward her mother, her face illuminated by the deep crimson and gold of the setting sun. She walked over, kneeling beside Victoria’s chair, taking her mother’s hands into her own.
"The world is at peace tonight, Mother," Elena Junior said softly, her voice full of a deep, ancient reverence. "The networks are stable. The foundations are secure. The name Vale is blessed in every corner of the earth."

Victoria smiled, her eyes clear, peaceful, and infinitely content. She looked up at the vast blue sky, where the first stars of the evening were beginning to pierce through the twilight—unshaken by storms, untouched by time, and completely supreme.
"Then let it shine, my love," Victoria whispered, closing her eyes to listen to the steady, rhythmic sound of the ocean below. "The storm has passed forever. The sky belongs to us."
